About The Role

If you have knowledge of the NHS Continuing Healthcare National Framework and the appeals process, then we’d love to hear from you.

As an NHS Continuing Healthcare Volunteer, you’ll use your knowledge of the framework to support people affected by dementia with their appeal over telephone and email, giving them the confidence to challenge decisions. You’ll provide a comprehensive support service, gathering and recording information from the client, helping them identify the necessary documentation and evidence and providing encouragement to attend the appeal.

The challenge of successfully appealing decisions not to award Continuing Healthcare can be overwhelming, but in this role you’ll have the opportunity to empower people affected by dementia during this process and make a huge difference to their dementia journey.
