What if your programme management skills could help some of the UK’s leading organisations become more dementia-inclusive?
As our Strategic Change Programme Manager, you’ll sit within our Corporate Partnerships team and play a key role in delivering high-value strategic partnerships that create income, influence and lasting impact for people affected by dementia.
You’ll lead strategic change programmes with our corporate partners and through our Sport United Against Dementia (SUAD) campaign, working across sectors including finance, energy, insurance, digital and tech, retail and sport. You’ll help them turn their commitment to dementia inclusion into meaningful, measurable action.
You’ll build trusted relationships and bring people, insight and ideas together to turn ambitious partnership ideas into delivery. Using evidence and lived experience, you’ll shape programmes that support Alzheimer’s Society’s Help and Hope strategy, and help organisations create changes that last for people affected by dementia.
You’ll be joining our Corporate Partnerships team at an important time, helping to grow the value and impact of strategic partnerships with organisations that can create meaningful change for people affected by dementia.
Location: This role is contracted as hybrid. You will spend time working from home, attending our London office, and regularly meeting partners and stakeholders in person. Frequent UK travel should be expected.
Interviews are provisionally scheduled to take place the week commencing the 9th of November via MS Teams.
What you’ll do
You’ll take strategic ideas and turn them into practical programmes that make a difference. You’ll lead activity from design through to delivery and evaluation, keeping a clear focus on outcomes.
You’ll:
- Design and deliver tailored dementia-inclusive change programmes that help corporate partners turn their partnership commitments into measurable action.
- Manage multiple workstreams, budgets, risks, timelines and stakeholders to keep programmes on track.
- Build trusted relationships with partners and influence them to make and sustain meaningful change.
- Develop impact measures and analyse information to show what’s working and where we can improve.
- Spot opportunities and emerging trends across accessibility, inclusion, customer vulnerability and priority sectors to strengthen our strategic partnership offer.
- Work with colleagues across Alzheimer’s Society to shape programmes and share learning.
- Represent the Society at partner meetings, working groups and sector events.
- Provide day-to-day direction to our Corporate Partnerships Development Officer.
Could you help a business, sporting organisation, or wider sector think differently about dementia? You’ll have the opportunity to help turn that thinking into action that lasts.
About you
We’re looking for someone who can see the bigger picture while also getting stuck into the detail. Someone who enjoys bringing people together, finding solutions and turning ambition into action.
You’ll bring:
- Experience of managing programmes and multiple workstreams, including risks, budgets and stakeholders, to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Ability to develop impact frameworks, analyse information and turn insight into clear recommendations.
- Experience influencing people at different levels and encouraging meaningful change, including when you don’t have direct authority.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and create long-term engagement around shared goals.
- Strategic thinking, with the ability to identify opportunities and risks and turn priorities into practical action.
- Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt when things change.
- A commitment to inclusion and improving outcomes for people affected by dementia.
Most importantly, do you want to use your skills to help create a world where dementia no longer devastates lives?
If you’re motivated by making a difference, believe in the power of partnerships and share our values of Compassion, Determination and being Better together, we’d love to hear from you.
