Are you an Accounts Receivable expert, looking to use your skills to help address the biggest health issue in the UK today?
We are looking for a Finance officer, in our Accounts Receivable/Treasury department, to join our busy Finance team as we progress our finance transformation journey, including the embedding of a new ERP finance system, Unit 4 (Agresso).
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s credit control processes, confirming timely collection on debts, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and compliance with policies. Alongside,
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer accounts, allocating payments and reconciling discrepancies
- Chasing remittance advice of unallocated payments
- Processing all bank transactions directly into the Society’s finance system, performing monthly bank reconciliations
This is an office-based role, in Plymouth, with the option to work from home one day a week. You may be required to travel to attend some meetings and team-days, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be comfortable/willing to travel to our flagship offices.
About you
- Extensive experience as a Credit Controller/Sales Ledger/Accounts Receivable Clerk
- Industry experience in an organisation of similar size, scale, and complexity
- Strong data entry experience using Microsoft Office tools
- Experience and knowledge of Unit4 ERPx or equivalent cloud-based system
- Able to demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, strong initiative and good judgement.
- Motivated by joining a committed finance team and delivering an ambitious transformation plan

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders, providing outstanding customer service
- Excellent IT skills and extensive experience of using Microsoft packages
- Works collaboratively and able to prioritise your workload effectively and remain solutions focused
- Self-motivated and capable of handling multiple tasks
