Do you enjoy working with data, spotting the details others might miss and finding finding ways to make information clearer, easier to access and more effective?
As our Data Processing Support Officer, you’ll use your organisational skills and curiosity about data to help our Legacies team make a difference. Keeping supporter information accurate and up to date will help improve their experience and raise vital funds for people affected by dementia.
You’ll join our Legacies (Gifts in Wills) team within our High Value and Legacies department. As our legacy programme grows, your work will help us make informed decisions and keep fundraising activity running smoothly.
Do you like solving problems, improving how information is organised and helping things run smoothly?
You’ll work with data from supporters, solicitors and free Will service providers. You’ll maintain records, produce reports and provide administrative support, with opportunities to use your existing skills and learn new systems.
This is a home-based role, with regular check-ins and team meetings to keep you connected with colleagues.
Could this be the opportunity to put your eye for detail and interest in data to work for a cause that matters?
What you’ll do
You’ll help keep our data accurate, accessible and useful. You’ll:
- Input information into our CRM, Excel spreadsheets and other systems, ensuring records are accurate.
- Review records, spot errors and follow up on missing or inconsistent information.
- Keep supporter data up to date and raise discrepancies with managers or internal data teams.
- Run reports on data quality and campaign results, helping the team identify what’s working and where we could improve.
- Organise information so colleagues can find and use it easily.
- Provide administrative support, including creating mail merges, monitoring inboxes and helping with invoice processing.
You’ll work with colleagues to maintain reliable information, support fundraising activity and give supporters a positive experience.
About you
Are you someone who takes pride in getting the details right?
You’ll work carefully and methodically, making sure information is accurate and spotting anything that doesn’t look right. You’ll understand the importance of confidentiality, data protection and fundraising compliance.
Do you enjoy exploring data and finding out what it can tell you?
You’ll bring an analytical and curious approach, with some experience of using data to spot trends, report on basic KPIs and inform decisions. You’ll be comfortable using databases and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and keen to develop your skills.
You might be a great fit for this role if you:
- Can manage multiple tasks and deadlines, even when workloads change or urgent requests come in.
- Have a good eye for detail, can input data accurately and confidently spot and report errors.
- Take data privacy and fundraising compliance seriously, knowing when to ask for guidance.
- Are adaptable and enjoy learning, picking up new systems and processes quickly with the right support.
- Can use basic data analysis to identify trends, report on KPIs and share useful insights.
- Are confident using databases, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Enjoy working independently while staying connected with colleagues and contributing to a supportive team.
Experience in a charity or fundraising environment would be helpful, but relevant skills gained elsewhere are also welcome. What matters is your approach to data, willingness to learn and interest in helping the team do its best work.
What could your attention to detail and curiosity about data help us achieve for people affected by dementia?
If you enjoy working with information, finding ways to improve things and being part of a team making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
Interviews are provisionally scheduled to take place on the 18th and 19th November via MS Teams.
